The Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR) was established in February, 2000.

The Institute is under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is primarily a research centre, a think-tank and an agency to strengthen Nigeria's capacity for the promotion of peace, conflict prevention, management and resolution

Meet the Director General

Dr. Golwa was born December 14, 1956 at Kurum (AMPER) in Kanke L.G.A. Plateau State.

He had his earlier education at the Sudan United Mission Primary School, Plateau State between 1962 and 1968 and attended Government Secondary School, Katsina Ala, Benue State from 1969 to 1973, where he had his Higher School Certificate between 1973 and 1975.

He proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University where he bagged a Bachelors Degree in History from 1975 to 1978. Read more
